FORMER PRESIDENTS' CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP

In celebration of their rich history of service and commitment to the profession of surgical technology, the AST Former Presidents are excited to again offer the Conference Scholarship intended for Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), who want to be energized by attending the AST Conference. The scholarships will not exceed $1,000 (conference registration plus $650 for expenses) and are offered only to AST members who have been active in the association and have NEVER attended the national conference. Applicants must have been AST members with uninterrupted membership for a minimum of two years prior to the date of the application. Recipients must maintain their AST membership and CST certification. All recipients will be asked to share their experiences and may be asked to contribute an article to the August Journal. (Students, instructors and nonmembers are not eligible).

The AST Former Presidents will be reviewing applications and selecting qualified recipients from members who meet the requirements of this honorarium and wish to attend the AST Surgical Technology Conference in Atlanta, Georgia from May 28-30. Simply fill out the online interactive application and write a short essay explaining "How I Would Benefit from Attending Conference." In a separate email, send a photo of yourself to [email protected] The deadline for applications is March 1. Recipients will be notified by the end of March. At conference, you will be able to meet with the former presidents!
